Hope

Evident it has a delicate temperament,

Like a strong, yet fragile, silent song,
Unassuming, blooming, beautiful -
Hope is obstinate, it has returned,
Resuming to show its small tender petals.
Alive; it survived the harsh cold, unshakable.
Fast and firm, loyal and true, but breakable,
Easily removable with just one shoe.

I will have to protect it.....does a flower have an ego?
